Registration
Covered Ohio facilities generally must apply for registration before handling radiation-generating equipment. RayReg preserves the exemptions in the rule rather than treating registration as unconditional.
OAC 3701:1-38-03 ↗Cabinet operator training
Cabinet-system operators must receive training and demonstrate competence in the cabinet-specific topics in paragraph (H). Importantly, ordinary cabinet operators are exempt from paragraphs (C), (D), and (E), so RayReg does not automatically apply the general annual radiographic refresher interval.

Covered cabinet systems must be evaluated and results recorded every three months, not to exceed fourteen weeks, subject to the rule's lockout exception.
OAC 3701:1-68-06(D) ↗Radiation surveys
Recorded radiation-area surveys are triggered at installation, during specified primary-beam maintenance/calibration procedures, and when visual inspection reveals an abnormal cabinet condition.

Ohio limits radiation emitted from a cabinet system to 4.4 microgray (0.5 milliroentgen) in one hour at any point five centimeters outside the external surface.

A deadline is not always permission to keep operating.
Ohio gives a seven-calendar-day repair deadline for specified failed cabinet safety components. RayReg treats that deadline together with the broader requirement that the radiation protection program prohibit operation when applicable Chapter 3701:1-68 obligations are not met. The repair window should not be presented as automatic authorization to run noncompliant equipment.
