Facility-specific applicability
Requirements can depend on jurisdiction, equipment type, equipment configuration, use, ownership, exemptions, license or registration conditions, and other facts. Users are responsible for confirming current official sources and determining the requirements that apply to their facility.
Safety-sensitive decisions
Do not rely solely on RayReg to decide whether radiation-generating equipment is safe or lawful to operate. Safety-device failures, abnormal radiation conditions, suspected exposure, enforcement matters, or unclear applicability should be handled using the facility's approved procedures and appropriate qualified or regulatory resources.
